EPO Performers

Andy studied at the Royal Academy of Music and left to pursue a career in radio. He worked for Independant Local Radio (Essex Radio) as a Technical Operator and Outside Broadcast Floor Manager then moved onto being an editor for the Arts programme 'Words & Music'. He soon moved to BBC local radio where he was a freelance arts presenter. Andy came back to the music profession in 1989 and has been a freelance viola player for the London orchestras but mainly for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestras. Andy has also played for Doyle Carte, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, RTE Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra. In 1996 Andy appeared in and played on the string quartet sound track for the Holywood hit of Jane Austen's 'Emma' starring Gwyneth Paltrow. It was his love for orchestral pop after years of playing Hooked on Classics & ELO concerts that lead Andy to forming his very own Pops Orchestra. The EPO was born! Andy is also a music producer and arranger and has produced films for the BBC Big Band, the RPO, Freddy Kempf, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra to name just a few.

John Langley - Singer

Jayne O'Mahony - Singer

John began singing and acting professionally in 1996. John has appeared in numerous musicals and light operas including Billy Bigelow (Carousel), Tony(West Side Story), Danillo (Merry Widow), Eisenstein & Dr Falke (Die Fledermaus), MacHeath (Beggar's Opera), Cutbeard (Epicoene).John made his West End debut in Phantom of the Opera in 1997 playing the role of Monsieur Lefevre. He joined the cast of Whistle Down the Wind in the original West End production where he played the roles of Boon and Edward for 2 years. John recently finished playing the role of Harry in the debut cast of the International Tour of Mamma Mia. He fully appreciates that the decision to cast Colin Firth as harry in the movie was obviously the director's decision to compromise on looks!John has sung with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the All Souls Orchestra throughout the UK also the English Pops Orchestra, and the BBC Concert Orchestra on Radio 2's Friday Night is Music Night. John performs extensively throughout the UK with the close harmony group Cabinet Shuffle and the touring concert shows Masters of the House, Beyond Broadway, Kings of Swing/Absolute Swing and Masters of the Musical. Besides concert and theatre, John is a busy session singer, featuring on numerous soundtracks and is also a prolific arranger/orchestrator and has written for many well known recording artists including Jose Carreras, Kiri Te Kanawa, Haley Westenra, Katherine Jenkins, All Angels & Aled Jones.

Jayne O'Mahony is a well established performer in the West End having started her career at the tender age of nine where she created the role of the Young Cosette in the original production of Les Miserables at The Barbican. She later returned to the cast at the Palace Theatre, London to perform the role of Adult Cosette becoming the first artist to have ever played both roles! Jayne also played the role of Mistress in Evita during the UK tour starring Marti Webb. She also travelled to Oslo Spectrum area to star in the role alongside John Barrowman. Jayne studied at Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead alongside Kate Winslet. She was a soloist for the Danny Kaye Awards hosted by the late Audrey Hepburn and also a runner up on BBC's Opportunity Knocks. Jayne is an original company member of the touring concert show Masters of the House. She tours extensively and was priveleged to have once performed for Princess Diana.
